After almost two years as a DreamHost customer, I’ve been forced to make the move to MediaTemple – a move that will hopefully resolve any issues the site has been experiencing lately.
For the money, Dreamhost was a great option until a recent MySQL server cataclysm that resulted in my site being virtually useless for a few weeks. They offered a feature-rich hosting plan for the price, but the frequent downtime of both my site and their control panel rendered their business borderline fraudulent.
So I’ve decided to give MediaTemple’s Grid Service a shot based on some glowing reviews. It seems the service’s launch in 2007 was rough, but I’m expecting everything should run smoothly now. Luckily there wasn’t too much content to migrate over, but feel free to let me know if something odd pops up.

Aaron, your site is s…o damn fast now I can’t believe it. Smart move on switching from NightmareHost to MediaTemple. This will now be my resource for a daily dose of Shapiroism, so you better keep this site maintained…or else.
